PLAYER SCOUTING & RECRUITMENT
Effective Scouting is instrumental to our success as an organization, hence we spend or invest ample time researching, and travelling to especially the rural areas to find special talents
USSA has a network of experienced talent scouts/youth coaches deployed across the various regions in Ghana and also some parts of West Africa. Our scouts identify players with high potentials to play at the highest level in football. Players spotted or watched by our scouts will always be approached and linked up to available football soccer opportunities that suit their individual profits.
USSA looks for players predominantly from 16-20 years and once any if our Regional talent scouts identify a player, they recommend them to the scouting unit of our agency.
USSA do run open trials or talent showcase programs periodically. These events are usually advertised and participants are screened and the best out of the best are shortlisted and considered for recruitment.
We always watch and monitor players at their local clubs or schools before inviting them for a Trials
Player Development
When it comes to player development, we have a recruitment policy that focuses on selecting younger African players from the grassroots and developing them further based on a training needs assessment .
USSA has a training development camp at Akuse, in the Eastern Region of Ghana which serves us a holding environment for key scouted players with high potentials and our youth and development coaches prepare and equip these talents with the necessary technical, tactical, physical and psychological training which help them adapt to the European game play.
The Agency can boast of youth team or talent factory Known as Gutzi Soccer Academy that engages and plays matches to sharpen the skills and abilities of these players for both the local and global football market.
Player Marketing & Placement
There are a number activities that USSA performs in effort to properly market and promote our players to soccer opportunities both locally and abroad.
. Packaging our players : For a player to be attractive to a club, USSA’s marketing experts would quickly want to package the player. First, we can take the player to our Training camp or a well structured academy or amateur club where his talent and skills can be improved.
Within the period, USSA works with the player to produce a very attractive Video footage of the player’s best performances as well as his football profile (CV). Our marketing expert may go ahead to record the player’s statistics and performance records for our database.
A well package player can easily be searched out by clubs and offer him trial opportunities.
